What can I borrow?

The Law Library of Victoria provides services to judicial officers, the legal profession and the general public. The Law Library of Victoria is not a lending library, however the general public can browse and use the collection while in the library. Following is a summary:


Membership Borrowing details
Judiciary May borrow from all Law Library of Victoria collections (speak to your court librarian for details). 
Legal profession

One day borrowing from the Supreme Court Library print collection for court purposes only (limited to Melbourne CBD).

Limited borrowing from a designated lending section in the Supreme Court Library. 

General public May use items for research purposes within the Supreme Court Library. 

Inter-library Loan Service (Document Delivery)

We have an inter-library loan service available to judicial officers and their staff. To request an item not held by the Law Library of Victoria please contact your court librarian.
