- About Us
We would like to say thank you for being with us in 2020.
Our commitment to providing access to legal information and enhancing research capabilities remains stronger than ever. 2020 saw the judiciary, the legal profession, and our entire community face unprecedented challenges. In response, we improved our digital library and implemented our electronic services more quickly than we had originally planned to ensure we provided uninterrupted access to authoritative legal information from anywhere, at any time.
We are grateful to our valued colleagues - the heads of jurisdictions, presidents of legal associations and regulatory bodies, CEOs of the Courts, publishers, law librarians across Australia and other suppliers for their assistance. Thank you for the assistance that you extended to the legal community through the Library in 2020.
We are proud of our deep engagement with our colleagues in the legal community. With your support, this year:
We have achieved much together in 2020, despite having had to learn how to enjoy working remotely. We would like to reinforce our message of support and commitment to judicial officers, the legal profession and the community, as we work together to achieve more in 2021.
The Law Library is a truly digital library and is accessible 24/7. Over the Christmas and New Year period, librarians are rostered to assist you during business hours.
Best wishes over the festive season, and a happy new year for you and your family.
Warm regards,
Laurie Atkinson
Supreme Court Librarian and Director Law Library of Victoria
