Legal research is a foundational and life-long professional skill. The Legal Research eLearning units are designed to develop and strengthen legal research skills, improving overall research capabilities and confidence.
Start your online training by selecting a unit:
To access the eLearning units you must be logged in to the Law Library website. If you don't have an account you can register here. Allow around 1 hour to complete each unit (2 units in total).
The eLearning can be used for:
- Learn new skills and techniques that will assist you in your day-to-day legal role
- Add to inductions
- Strengthen and extend your existing legal research knowledge with resources from a variety of publishers
- Quickly pick up key skills on a specific research topic
- Perfect as a ready reference tool
Continuing Professional Development
Two points are available for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The eLearning course fulfils criteria under the compulsory field of Professional Skills, but can also be used for Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Practice Management and Business Skills, and Substantive Law
