Many decisions are made by courts and tribunals each day. The hierarchy of the court determines what sort of cases each court will hear.
The decisions that are made, transcribed and released are called unreported judgments. Not all judgments are made available. Select judgments are published in law reports series depending on the significance of the decision, for example, if the judgment changes the law or provides a new perspective on a particular point of law. For more information see our Cases page.
If you are looking for unreported judgments of the Supreme Court, County Court, Magistrates' Court and VCAT see our Research Guide called Locating Victorian Unreported Judgments.
