About the Law Library of Victoria

The Law Library of Victoria is an integral resource for the courts, as well as for the legal profession and the community. The Library provides access to authoritative legal information for all Victorian legal practitioners to assist with the accurate, effective and fair administration of justice.

The Law Library of Victoria is managed by a committee that is comprised of representatives from the Victorian jurisdictions and the legal profession. The committee Chair is the Honourable Justice Greg Garde. The Director of the Law Library of Victoria is Ms Laurie Atkinson.

Headquarters of the Law Library is based in the beautiful Supreme Court Library, which is regarded as a library of national significance and is one of the largest law collections in Victoria, containing over 120,000 volumes.
